100 Years of Worship in the Capitol Building (The Capitol Building became the largest Church in America)

(Excerpted as outlined by Alexander Hamilton on the 1st Amendment from "In Search of George Washington")

. . . .

Over most of the recent century, the American Judiciary has constructed a wall of separation between its opinions on religion and the original facts and evidences with regard to religion and government and with regard to religion's place in the basic tenets by which a nation was to live and morally conduct its affairs. Striking religion's role from America's government and governance and from the public square is to make a mockery out of every "sworn" oath of office and is to pervert religion's history and traditions and its intricate participation in the formation of the very character of a nation and its soul and its principles.

What are the federal "Limited and Enumerated" Powers laid out by the founders in the Constitution?

Does it matter anymore what they are and that they are specified to be the only powers the federal branch is to have?

We took some big strides this week at the Convention of States Project. Here’s what happened:

Former Congressman Col. Allen B. West officially endorsed the Convention of States Project. He joins Sarah Palin, George Will, and other leaders in supporting an Article V Amending Convention.

Still know people on the fence?

Author and economist Robert Berry has exposed the weaknesses of anti-Convention of States arguments.

Respond to opposition you encounter with the documents on our new opposition response page.

We’ve also created pages for printable material and sample letters, so you can access these resources quickly and easily.

More people are joining the movement every day—thanks for being one of the first.

Sincerely,

Convention of States Project Team The Convention of States Project is a project of Citizens for Self-Governance

It was a fantastic week in the fight for self-governance. Here’s what happened:

Alaska and Florida became the second and third states in history to pass the Convention of States application to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.

Is your state next?

Our team in Arizona is in a tough fight, but with your help we can secure a victory.

Mark Levin slammed Senator Andy Biggs for his refusal to allow the Arizona Senate to vote on an Article V Convention.

Sarah Palin and Mark Meckler also weighed in on the situation in AZ.

Finally, we’ve publish the latest developments in South Carolina and Missouri.

Your voice is being heard, and we’re gaining momentum. Keep up the good work!

Sincerely,

Convention of States Project Team P.S. Don’t forget to watch Michael Farris square off against leaders of the John Birch Society in Oklahoma.

You just don’t understand how much better Obamacare is going to make your life; you’re afraid of change. It’s okay, he wants you to know; he understands.

“There are some people who have very bad insurance, but they don’t know it because they don’t understand the fine print,” Obama said yesterday. Politico Pro reports that the President continued:

We said, “You know what, you’re right. You should be able to keep the health insurance you have even if it’s not very good. Even if you could get insurance on HealthCare.gov, you should be able to keep it.” And that’s the part of the law we’ve extended.

Wasn’t that thoughtful? You don’t know what you’re talking about, because you don’t understand what’s good for you. But the Obama Administration will try to make you feel better for another year…oh, and hopefully those of you who still have your old insurance won’t get cancellation notices right before the midterm election.

>>> “Junk” Health Plans and Other Obamacare Myths

But most of the cancellation notices already happened. Last year, at least 4.7 million Americans received one. In fact, getting rid of that old insurance plan was part of Obamacare’s design.

Heritage expert Alyene Senger says Obamacare definitely piles on the mandates—but does that mean its coverage is “better”?

Obamacare cancels many insurance policies that individuals chose based on their wants, needs, or ability to afford, and it replaces those plans with what the government deems “better” insurance. But this leaves little choice for consumers and increases costs.

Speaking of Obamacare’s design—and upgrading everyone’s insurance—what about the uninsured? Weren’t the new exchanges supposed to fix that problem?

Well, we already know it’s not going to accomplish that goal, as the Congressional Budget Office estimates 31 million will still be left uninsured. But now we find out that the progressives behind Obamacare didn’t even bother to track their progress.

Yesterday, an official with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) was asked: How many uninsured Americans are signing up for Obamacare?

“That’s not a data point that we are really collecting in any sort of systematic way,” CMS’s Gary Cohen said.

That’s right. One of the big selling points for President Obama was that Obamacare would insure the uninsured. And now the Administration doesn’t even know whether the people signing up had insurance to begin with. The Washington Post reports:

the online application, used by most people to enroll, asks whether people want to apply for coverage but does not give them a place to indicate whether they have insurance now or have had it in the past. As a result, HHS analysts have no way of assessing how many of the online enrollees were uninsured in the past.

According to the President, it’s ordinary Americans who don’t understand health insurance. But every revelation about Obamacare screams that this law is completely unworkable. Its creation and implementation have been ham-handed at best and disastrous at worst. Americans deserve better.

"The Next America" - Where do you fit in?

-

Consider the main point made in the following excerpted article that introduces the next $2.2 Trillion dollar industry that is a simmering, winner-take-all, "holy war" that companies like Google, Apple, Amazon.com, and Netflix are gearing up for right now.

-
And consider the "secret" presented and the implications of not applying this secret, not just to industries that find themselves "on the way out", like newspapers, the book store industry, and, past tense, "horse and buggies"; but to a once successful country, in fact, the most successful country in history.

Could applying the secret divulged below change the current course of history for a nation arguably "on the way out" and spark a booming, "new day" once again?  Could "The Next America" reclaim the best of the old one and soar to new heights?

But first,  here's the question of a "Motley Fool" Dad as he took his daughter to her new college dorm room . . .

"  ....... a question that's been on my mind lately. (As I try to get over the sticker shock of this first tuition bill... and as I think about the kind of financial freedom I want my kids to have.)

What's the secret to making a fortune?

Is it education? Hard work? Connections? Or just good luck?

According to a growing body of research, all of those things help.

But there's another factor that matters a whole lot more...

Making a fortune requires imagination.

Now when I say imagination, I don't mean wishful thinking. You know, "visualize what you want in your mind's eye, and then you'll get it!" You and I know that's bull.

What I mean is... imagining a different world.

A world almost like the one we live in now... but a little better. Maybe a lot better. That's what great businessmen like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Steve Jobs did to make their billions. It's also what great investors like Peter Lynch and Warren Buffett have always done.

(And it's the secret behind the simple investment strategy I want to tell you about today.)

Now unfortunately, there's another side to this story. And you can probably guess what it is.

Losing a fortune requires a lack of imagination.

Just ask a newspaper publisher, or anyone who invested in that industry in recent years. Ouch!

We still read newspapers. In fact, we read them more than we ever did! But we don't read them in quite the same way — and that means newspaper publishers and investors have watched helplessly as more than HALF of their money swirled right down the drain.

Without an emergency loan from an eccentric Mexican billionaire (the richest man in the world), even the grand-daddy of them all, The New York Times, would have gone bankrupt.
Were there warnings this would happen? Of course there were.

Back in 1993, a man named Gordy Thompson worked for the Times. His job title was "internet services manager," and I'm sure the big bosses at his company had no idea who he was, or what that really meant.

What did he try (and fail) to tell them?

"When a 14 year-old kid can blow up your business in his spare time, not because he hates you but because he loves you, then you got a problem."

Industry sidebar

See, Thompson was in the habit of hanging out on internet message boards.

And he had noticed that fans of the Miami Herald's popular humor columnist Dave Barry were re-posting Barry's columns online, so people who couldn't read the Herald could enjoy them.

In other words, the greatest competitive threat for newspapers was... the popularity of their own content! People wanted more of it, and they wanted it instantly.

Sound familiar?

It's the same thing that happened to the book industry with Amazon.com and now e-books on demand. It's the same thing that happened to the financial industry when we started trading our own stocks online instead of using traditional stockbrokers. And to the record companies that once ruled the music industry with an iron fist.

The list goes on and on.

. . .

So . . .  What is the answer for America?  Is a $17,000,000,000,000 debt and soon to be much more leading to America going by the wayside?

Is the answer as Joe Biden famously said in 2010 "We are just going to have to spend our way out of bankruptcy." ?

Is the answer the same old "100 Year War on Business and Success" (1913 to 2013) by progressives or, alternatively, as Chapter 2 of the book "In Search of George Washington" describes, is the answer the continuing "Legacy of RED INC. (REDistribution of INCome")?
-
Charles Krauthammer of Fox News, dubbed the recent State of the Union Speech more "small ball" from the President - another round from the old collection of "chestnuts".
-
Where was the grand "vision" for America?   Where was the "inclusive plan" for all Americans?

The answer for America is the secret for "The Next America".  It is the same secret revealed  above for "making a fortune" in investments.

It is what has been woefully missing in Washington.

It is the opposite of "the secret" above that ruefully is driving Washington.

In fact, it has become obvious to most that, like  "Losing a fortune requires a lack of imagination";

the collective "lack of imagination" by those in control are losing, not just America's monetary fortune,  but losing Her good name and good reputation and good standing around the world and losing future generations to the wretchedness of unforgivable debt, decline, and despair!

The "answer" for America is "imagining" a new "Vision" for prosperity and brotherhood.

The "answer" for America is  revisiting the imagination of the Founders and their "Vision" for freedom and liberty.

The "answer" for America is revisiting the frugal and small government of a Warren G. Harding and a "Silent Cal", Calvin Coolidge, (165 vetoes of Congressional spending bills (the same number of Dwight D. Eisenhower) that launched "The Roaring Twenties" and its explosion of invention and investment, and ingenuity and individual prosperity.

The "answer" for America begins with a vision of a "25-year experiment" that produces "The Next America".

It is a 25-year experiment in "Pure Free Enterprise" in up to  20, "Free Enterprise Towns" and 20, "Free Enterprise Zones" in each state. "Incubator" towns and zones "insulated" from federal regulation and sheltered from state and federal taxes to such an extent that virtually every industry and company, large and small will "storm the gates" to build and invest and locate up to the maximum subsidiary size as set out in the amendment.  Even foreign corporations from around the world may have a chance to participate on some scale in the rush to build and invest and invent.

It is a 25-year experiment in bringing $2,000,000,000,000 ($2 Trillion) back home in untaxed corporate profits with a 10% Repatriation Tax.

It is a 25-year experiment in bringing an average $18 Billion into each of the 50 state economies over a 3-year repatriation period.

It is a 25-year experiment in unleashing thousands of new businesses and an epic building boom with a 15% maximum corporate income tax and no capital gains tax and no estate tax throughout the land.

It is a 25-year experiment with a powerful new "trade association of the 50 states"  called the "States' Commerce Association" for managing "Interstate Commerce" between themselves (see 12 districts set up similar to the 12 Federal Reserve districts").

It is a 25-year experiment that eliminates "one" of the 21 limited and enumerated powers from the federal government, i.e., "... regulate interstate commerce".

It is a 25-year experiment in moving $1.8 Trillion a year of money and power and people and real estate from Washington and the federal government to the states over a 5-year period and under the purview and jurisdiction and enforcement, not of the federal judiciary, but of the 12-member "States' Open Markets Committee" (SOMC) of the new "States' Commerce Association" with massive powers for 5 years to oversee the 100% completion of the "Restructuring of America" plan and its $1.8 Trillion a year detailed budget.   (see Cato and Heritage Sourcing and "Email #6 - Restructuring America's Budget).

The answer for America is a cohesive and detailed plan presented to 50 state legislatures over a 12-18 month period of debate and distillation and melding of consensus of 38 states into 38 exact "Applications for Convention" to Congress prior to there ever being a formal convention.

The "Pre-Convention of States" brings the information age and its instantaneous technology to bear in coordinating 38 state legislatures to a historical pre-agreement of those proposed Articles on which they "virtually" all agree after a year of electronic debating and virtual coordinating.

The pattern for success for this plan is a 227-year-old example.  Like the comprehensive "Virginia Plan" that James Madison and Edmund Randolph refined and presented at the beginning of the 1787 Constitutional Convention that became the focal point for debate and much of the eventual Constitution itself; the "28th Amendment Plan" is  also an extensive set of proposals in the form of 7 Articles of Constitutional Amendment.
-
The 7 Articles of "The 28th Amendment" are "imagination" on display on a grand scale.   It is a scale dictated by the size of the "giant" in the fight.  It is a giant that must to be defeated and remanded into submission before America can reclaim Her future.   It is a federal government gone amok with thousands of tentacles invading every square inch of society, that suddenly finds itself up against 300,000,000 Americans and their 38 identical, and pre-agreed, state "Applications for Convention" that include the scope and details of the 7 Articles of Amendment all part of a new game on which the giant is on the outside looking in.   38 State Legislatures and their delegates are completely in charge of this massive "Game Worth Playing" and its result.
-
With a successful "Pre-Convention of States" and a successful Convention and implementation of the ratified Amendment, "Imagination" is again rampant in partnership with "Incentives".   Individual and corporate incentives are alive again in free markets and free markets are alive and thriving with billions of decisions being made by millions of decision makers without interference by a few Government decision makers setting rules and regulations best left for the markets to sort out naturally.

With the "Convention of States" (COS) movement that is sweeping the nation and replacing much of the previous "28th Amendment Plan" (the steps for organizing the convention itself) and while the COS effort is accomplishing the educating of the nation and state legislatures and making great progress toward a physical convention format;  the refined "28th Amendment Plan" is focusing on putting forth the broad and far-reaching "Visions" of "The New America" with the broadest of new horizons for the "Poor" and the "Rich" working together in a partnership for enduring  success and prosperity and camaraderie for millions looking for new vistas for themselves and their families and their communities.
-
America is ready for a "Vision".   How about you?
-
Choose one of the ways to get involved presented over the next few weeks and months and help roll out a national blueprint for a comprehensive set of inspiring new visions for the country.
-
Start with one of the citizenship tests and test your knowledge to see if you qualify as a "high information voter/citizen".
-
Share the 21-day set of citizenship tests with others from both groups - "Rich" and "Poor" and build a nation of "high information voter/citizens".  (We'd like for everyone to know, not just who the first President was, but who the first Vice President was and who the first Secretary of State was and which of those two were the second President and which was the second Vice President and why each of these two thought the other should write the "Declaration of Independence".
-
We'd like everyone to know which President signed the bill to "end the slave trade in America" in 1806 (hint: He owned 200 slaves on a hill in Virginia called Monticello) and immediately confiscated 20 illegal frigates smuggling slaves in from Africa.
-
We'd like everyone to know which President established the United States Capitol building as a church for almost a hundred years and set the stage for that great symbol of government, the "Capitol Building" itself, to become the focal point for religious assembly and worship and ultimately the largest church in America by 1857 (hint:  it was the same Founding Father that the Supreme Court has quoted and used to scrub religion from America's institutions and from Her public buildings and Her public squares and Her public discourse throughout America).
-
Also we'd like every American of a mind to learn who "Publius" was for, if not for him, America most likely would not have its revered constitution and he certainly would not have been quoted to confirm 294 Supreme Court decisions (and dissenting positions) for over two centuries and still today.
-
Leave the "small ball" in the play room and the "chestnuts" "roasting on an open fire".
-
Get outside and get with others and build the snowball of  imagination and vision and "The Next America" that Americans are yearning for and send it down the mountain and out across the "fruited plain" and toward the generations to come that deserve their rich heritage passed down to them with unlimited horizons that are free from "the infamy of hereditary bondage".

Convention of States

Friend,

The momentum for the Convention of States Project is sweeping across the nation -- radio hosts, scholars, lawmakers, and journalists are all showing support. For example:

Forbes.com praised the Mt. Vernon Assembly.

Mark Levin and Glenn Beck teamed up to back a COS.

Gov. Huckabee joined Sen. Johnson, Sen. Coburn, and hundreds of state legislators to support the Project.

Some folks still have doubts, but Mark Meckler explained why they’re in the minority.

And why wouldn’t folks love the COS Project? As Michael Farris explained, a COS could keep the Executive Branch from creating laws.

Also, we’re proud to announce our $7,500 scholarship contest! We’re accepting videos and graphics on Jan. 1, so get those projects started!

Today, watch the interview with Citizens for Self-Governance President Mark Meckler on The BlazeTV at 5:20 pm ET! Tune in!

Sincerely,

- COS Project Team

Forbes.com: "Big Political Story of 2016 Will not be Obama"

December 11, 2013
The COS Project Team

What could be bigger news than a presidential race?  According to Ralph Benko, journalist and contributor to Forbes.com, a Convention of States is going to be the top story in two years' time.  In his article, Benko describes the Mt. Vernon Assembly and its importance to the history of the United States.  He mentions the Convention of States Project as one of the primary leaders in the Article V movement, and praises the state legislators who kicked-started the process in Mt. Vernon.

He concludes:

“The big political news of 2016 will not be about the presidential race.  It will be about how nearly 100 citizen-legislators began a process that restored liberty to America.  The big story is bigger than presidential politics.

The big story is Constitutional.  It is a story about how liberty-minded Americans such as Sen. David Long, of Indiana, Rep. Chris Kopenga, of Wisconsin, Rep. Matt Huffman, of Ohio, Rep. Gary Banz, of Oklahoma, Sen. Caryn Tyson, of Kansas, Rep. Yvette Herrell, of New Mexico, and Sen. Kevin Lundberg, of Colorado (co-chairs of a coordinate Article V Caucus), and other state legislators such as Del. Jim LeMunyon, of Virginia, began the process of restoring liberty to our sweet land.”

Huckabee and Others Endorse COS Project

December 12, 2013
Eric Burk

As the Convention of States Project grows, it is increasingly gaining the attention of the public and the politically savvy.  With many people coming out in support of the COS Project, be on the lookout for your favorite legislator or political analyst.  Here are just a few of the endorsements the Project has received from influential thinkers and legislators:

Former Governor Mike Huckabee:  “The Framers gave us a structure to allow the states to unilaterally impose proper controls on the federal government when it overruns the boundaries they had established.  Article V allows for a Convention of States for this very purpose.  The states can meet in official session to draft amendments to the Constitution that require fiscal restraint and other limitations on federal power.  My longtime friend, Michael Farris—who is an excellent constitutional litigator and professor—has joined with Mark Meckler and Citizens for Self-Governance to actually bring this idea into reality.  I have reviewed their plan and it is both innovative and realistic.

I urge you to join me in supporting the Convention of States Project with Citizens for Self-Governance.”

United States Senator Ron Johnson: “I am a big supporter of what Mike [Farris] is proposing here: the Convention of States.  This problem is not going to be solved in Washington D.C. It’s got to be solved by We the People.  We've got to take the power back.  I can't think of a better way of doing it, because Washington is not going to give up power.”

Glenn Beck: “I'm telling you, Congress will remove the debt ceiling and there is nothing you can do about it, there is nothing you can do about any of these things unless the states get together and say, "We're going to have a convention, and we are going to amend the Constitution."  That is what the Founders put in [the Constitution]….

Find out, please, about COS. A Convention of States is what it’s called, and do your homework on this. Politically speaking, I think it is time. It is time. The document that we have is living. It is breathing. But there is a way to do it.  And this is the way….

There is a reset coming, and you need to have your power back at the states, and you need to break up the cabal in Washington, and this is the way to do it.  Please do your own homework on this and decide for yourself.  Convention of States.”

United States Senator Tom Coburn:  "The problem in Washington is not that politicians agree too little but that they agree too much.  Both parties have worked together to grow government far beyond what we can afford, and what the Founders intended.  Sadly, there is not enough political will in Washington to fix the real problems facing the country.  It's time for the people to take back their country.  The plan put forth by Convention of States is a great way to do just that by using the process the founders gave us for reigning in the federal government."

Arizona State Representative Bob Thorpe and South Carolina Representative Bill Taylor, among other state legislators, have also specifically endorsed the COS Project. Bill Taylor notes, “The Convention of States is the safest, most legitimate, lawful and most effective means to solve the problems in Washington.  The Constitution is a brilliant document, and it’s high time we use it as the Founders intended.”

These men believe in what we’re doing, and folks across the country are catching the vision of a limited federal government.  If you're ready to join them, sign up today and get to work!

Eliminating the Tyranny of Executive Orders

December 16, 2013
Michael Farris

The most important provision in the Constitution is found in Article I, Section 1:  “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States.”  This means that all federal laws are supposed to be made by Congress.  Unfortunately, we have devolved into an executive state where the President and his agents (the administrative and regulatory agencies) have the power to make laws.

Even the kings of England had no such power for many years prior to the founding of the American republic.  We have to dig deeply into the archives of American and British history to find relevant examples of an executive leader making laws that all must obey.

Washington, D.C., will never curb the power of the White House or the executive branch because they all take advantage of and benefit from the status quo.  For example, executive orders and administrative agencies give Congressmen plausible deniability whenever those agencies make silly, dangerous, or burdensome rules.  “I didn’t vote for such rules,” they say.  “I will send a stern letter of protest.”  Protest as they may, they love the fact that they don’t have to take responsibility for making the law one way or the other.

A Convention of States could propose an amendment that strips the President and the executive branch of the power to make laws that control us.  If they want to make rules for the internal operations of the government—so be it.  But if they want us to obey their laws, they need to pass them in the manner the Constitution mandates.

Audio: Mark Levin & Glenn Beck Unite Around Article V Initiatives

| December 13 2013
David Leeper

In this 4-minute audio clip, you’ll hear that Mark Levin and Glenn Beck have buried old hatchets from past feuds and united around Article V initiatives like Compact for America (CFA) and Convention of States (COS).

While there are other worthy Article V initiatives, COS and CFA in particular form a long game (COS) and a short game (CFA) for We the People to take back our country from an out-of-control federal government that is condemning our children and grandchildren to modern-day debt bondage.

While Congress is currently congratulating itself on a possible minor reduction in the pace of debt escalation, there can be no doubt about the eventual disaster that awaits us. The Constitution’s Article V state-driven process for amendments is, by design of the Framers, the remedy for the people and the state legislatures to take back control of our country.

Read more here and at the CFA and COS websites.

ObamaCare's arrogance, corruption and abuse is just beginning

It took paramount arrogance for President Obama and congressional Democrats to believe they could write an Affordable Care Act that would replace free markets across a health care sector as large as the economy of France.

Among the results include five million Americans with private insurance who are getting cancellation letters for policies the president promised they could keep. As Obama claims, some had "substandard" coverage, but many had perfectly good policies.

Stories are surfacing of cancer patients -- now facing the loss of insurance policies that paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars in life-saving treatments -- who cannot access the government run exchange. Or,  if they are successful, their premiums are now dramatically higher, and they can no longer access the clinics and doctors that kept them alive.

How can any civilized society damn cancer patient and others to premature death under the banner of social justice?

Businesses around the country are replacing full-time employees with part-time hires to avoid paying rising, burdensome premiums for qualifying workers.

Others are simply dropping coverage altogether and electing to pay fines when those apply in 2014.

When the dust settles, millions of Americans who had health insurance will have to do without a policy and pay a less expensive “tax,” as Justice Roberts euphemistically labeled the fines for individual non-compliance with the ACA. After all, for many it comes down to paying the rent and feeding their kids, or paying premiums double or triple their 2013 rates.

Some Americans will undoubtably die -- unable to access life-saving medical services -- to satisfy the president’s obsession with “changing America” to create his ideal of a more just society.

How can any civilized society damn cancer patient and others to premature death under the banner of social justice?

Now, insurance companies like United Health Care are dropping doctors from their networks and slashing payments to physicians. Many Americans will lose doctors they trust and who have intimate knowledge of their medical conditions.

Forty dollars for an office visit, $20 to read a mammogram and the like -- these are fees that simply won’t sustain many doctors in private practice.

Many physicians will be pushed into the employ of terribly inefficient hospitals that can overbill for other services to somehow pay their salaries.

Other doctors will reconfigure their practices into concierge-style practices that charge annual fees of $1,500 or more per patient, in addition to payments for premiums and co-pays.

The rich will keep their doctors, while the rest of America scrambles and often goes without prompt attention to emerging illnesses or any attention at all.

Most doctors simply won’t be able to compete for the limited pool of patients who can afford concierge fees. They will face lower incomes and reduced professional satisfaction which will be reflected in the care they provide.

And... voila! There you have it: ObamaCare raises costs, lowers quality and slashes the incomes of many health care providers.

So, where are all those rising health insurance premiums going?

Simultaneously, the ACA made illegal many perfectly adequate private and employer-based policies, and required insurance companies to offer one-size-fits-all alternatives in each county across the country.

Cautious about the claims liabilities created by the uncertain risk characteristics of new pools of policyholders, insurance companies withdrew from many markets. Those that remain face much less competition and they can jack up rates, and slash doctors’ fees.

That is a classic prescription for monopoly profits at health insurance companies and outlandish executive bonuses.

The Justice Department has indicated little inclination to investigate these abuses under antitrust laws. It’s too busy seeking criminal indictments on Wall Street for sins committed during the financial crisis -- five years later and only after many bank executives declined to support Obama’s 2012 reelection bid.

It’s hardly an accident that health companies have become cozy with the administration and congressional Democrats. Their executives are wholly disinclined to criticize a law that benefits them so much, and they are more than happy to contribute to Democrats’ campaign coffers.

That’s Chicago-style corruption in its purest form. The president learned well while teaching law in the Windy City!

Team Obama = a government of boobs and bores led by a narcissist

My bookshelves sag with encyclopedic volumes arguing that America and the West are in decline. But proving that a picture is worth a thousand books, the “selfie” seen ’round the world ends the argument.

It’s official — the government of the United States of Obama consists of boobs and bores and is led by a narcissist. It is no consolation that Great Britain joins us in racing to the bottom.

President Obama’s flirting with Denmark’s prime minister would be shameful on any occasion. That it happened at the memorial for Nelson Mandela only adds to the embarrassment.

The sign-language interpreter wasn’t the only fake at the Mandela funeral. Obama and Cameron were posing as world leaders.

But the “selfie” episode also symbolizes the greater global calamity of Western decline. With British prime minister David Cameron playing the role of Obama’s giggling wingman, the “look at me” moment confirms we have unserious leaders in a dangerously serious time.

Iran marches toward nuclear weapons and already there is talk in military circles that a nuclear-armed Iran could mean mushroom clouds in the Mideast within five years.

China is flexing its muscles throughout Asia, its ships brazenly confronting ours on the high seas. Russia is expanding its writ in the Arab lands and in Eastern Europe while making casual threats about bombing America. Syria’s Assad uses chemical weapons and Obama and Cameron rattle little sabers before meekly agreeing to become his partner.

The sign-language interpreter wasn’t the only fake at the Mandela funeral. Obama and Cameron were posing as world leaders.

Is President Obama 'too big to jail?'

  • obama-too-big-to-fail.jpg

    President Barack Obama. (AP)

A Chinese proverb says, “May you live in interesting times.” We certainly do. Historians will look back on this time as “the Obama criminal years.”

How lawless is the Obama administration? Many of the dirty deeds and scandals of Obama & Co. are public knowledge. Let’s start with the most astonishing.

Many citizens are aware that because of ObamaCare, millions of Americans are losing their health care coverage. Is this incompetence, or criminal fraud?

One thing is certain: it would be fraud if a private sector CEO knew that millions of customers would lose their insurance, yet repeated the same lie over and over -- “If you like your health insurance, you can keep it. Period.”

Why would we not hold a politician to the same standard?

That brings up the question “IS THIS PRESIDENT TOO BIG TO JAIL?”

But this fraud isn’t just about money and power. It’s about cancer patients, our fellow citizens who may lose their lives as well as their health care coverage because of ObamaCare.

Even innocent children with cancer are among the victims of ObamaCare.

Yes, it turns out ObamaCare is one big death panel. With their policies being cancelled, these sick Americans are losing the very doctors, hospitals and treatments that have kept them alive.

What if some of them die from the stoppage of treatment? What if some die from stress and worry?  What if some commit suicide from depression?

These are complicated questions. But isn’t the person whose lies and misrepresentations harmed them, at least partly responsible for their deaths?

So, IS THIS PRESIDENT TOO BIG TO JAIL?

This president has no shame. How many Americans know that a cancer patient merely discussing the disastrous ramifications of ObamaCare in public (thereby embarrassing Obama), is now being persecuted by the IRS?

Yes, it’s true. Bill Elliott is that terminally-ill cancer patient. He was audited by the IRS within days of an appearance on Fox News.

The IRS scandal is far more widespread than the American public knows. It is not just about Tea Party groups.

The IRS was used by Obama to go after any citizen daring to criticize him in the national media.

I’m one of those victims. These actions by a president are absolutely criminal. Richard Nixon’s articles of impeachment included the exact same charge of using the IRS to punish critics and silence free speech. But terminally ill cancer patients?

Obama has sunk to new lows. I'm a big boy. What he did to critics like me is disgusting and un-American. But what he did to a terminally ill cancer patient is disgraceful and unimaginable. This president is an out-of-control bully, pure and simple.

Will anyone show the courage to investigate and prosecute Obama?

“IS THIS PRESIDENT TOO BIG TO JAIL?”

But wait (as late night infomercial pitchmen like to say), “There’s more.”  When the citizens went to the "state of the art" ObamaCare web site for help, to try to save themselves, they found it defective.

It turns out the website was built so poorly, the personal information of consumers can be easily stolen. And it’s not just online scam artists we’re worried about. The “Obama navigators” themselves might do the stealing -- after all, it turns out many of them have criminal records.

Rather than hiring one of many highly-qualified American high tech Internet companies, why would Obama give a NO BID contract for hundreds of millions of dollars to a firm with less than stellar credentials?

Surely the reason couldn’t be that it’s the firm of one of Michelle Obama’s Princeton Black Alumni Association buddies?

Don’t you wonder how many of those millions of taxpayer dollars are committed to Democrat causes, or are now sitting in a Swiss bank account?

Can you imagine if this happened at a private sector company?

Can you imagine the outrage and criminal accusations coming from consumer protection advocates?

Can you imagine how quickly the federal government would shut down the business?

The criminal would have been “perp walked” out of his office in front of waiting journalists and photographers. He’d be facing a lifetime in prison.

So, “IS THIS PRESIDENT TOO BIG TO JAIL?”

As bad as it is, ObamaCare is just another of the nonstop scandals of this administration. Any one of these scandals would have already forced a Republican president out of office. Obama owns all of them.

Benghazi. More absurd lies than ObamaCare, a possible arms deal with rebels gone bad, and the cover-up of murder.

Fast and Furious. Another government arms deal gone bad, responsibility for the murder of a U.S. border guard, another blatant cover-up.

The NSA scandal. Obama listens into all of our calls and communications. I hope he’s listening to mine. He’ll hear the word IMPEACHMENT come up in every sentence.

The AP scandal. Obama and paranoid buddies like Attorney General Eric Holder are even illegally spying on their adoring Kool-Aid drinking friends in the media.

The IRS scandal. It’s not just about targeting his political opposition.  It’s about the much more serious scandal of using the IRS to change the outcome of the election. Obama’s goal was to neutralize the powerful Tea Parties to prevent a repeat of the 2010 GOP landslide.

Guess what? It worked.

Obama used the IRS to kill conservative momentum, intensity, and enthusiasm, silence criticism in the media, and starve conservative fundraising. These guys put the "thug" in Chicago.

The Census Bureau scandal. It appears government employees faked the unemployment numbers in the weeks leading up to the election to re-elect a president who wouldn’t know what a job looked like, if it hit him in the face.

How could one leader be involved in this many lies, frauds, scandals, and cover-ups? There’s enough here for a century of presidents!

Forget impeachment, it’s time for criminal prosecution. There’s enough here to put a CEO away for multiple life sentences. Bernie Madoff would blush at what Obama has pulled off (so far).

The question is, “IS THIS PRESIDENT TOO BIG TO JAIL?”

What is missing from the "Convention of States" effort as it begins to snowball onto the national spotlight?

In the book, "In Search of George Washington", the Founders spend another 4 months together as they re-assemble once again in Independence Hall on the 225th anniversary of the first Constitutional Convention.

After a few weeks of mastering the arts of the internet age and surrounded by omniscient help and once again in the presence of Divine Providence, the Founders are absolutely united on one subject in particular and they are clamoring to be heard by 300,000,000 Americans.

Their message - put aside antiquated "horse and buggy" rules for convening states, put them back in the annuls of time where they belong, and apply what is so obviously at modern day America's disposal.  I.E.,  'Virtually' bring 38 state legislatures to the electronic table and distill and meld agreement and consensus well ahead of the formal applications to Congress.

In short, produce 38 state "Applications for Convention" to Congress that are identical in their wording and their underlying desire to restore the rightful, infinite powers of the states and the people AND PUT AMERICA ON A PATH OF VISION AND ACTION BEGINNING WITH A BUILDING AND EDUCATION AND SUCCESS BOOM FOR THE AGES."
-
Watch soon for the Sequel to "In Search of George Washington"
,
"The Pre-Convention of States"

(How the Founders would apply today's technology to Article 5 of the Constitution and
create a vast new vision for America)

In "Pre-Con" the founders layout the roadmap for 38 state legislatures to be in agreement for
what they are going to ratify at a formal convention and have it all inclusive as part of the scope
of the application to Congress for the formal signing convention.
Stay tuned  as two parallel efforts, headed in the same direction, get acquainted.

Convention of States

Friend,

The Convention of States Project is now officially rolling! Remember when we said several other states were preparing to pre-file our application? We’re happy to announce:

South Carolina has pre-filed our application, and Florida is close behind!

Watch SC Rep. Bill Taylor explain why he decided to be our prime sponsor.

If you want your state to pre-file too, the Action Center is where to start. Create your profile; contact your leader; get involved today!

Will it do any good? Yes! A Convention of States can help the economy by forcing Washington to balance the budget.

Michael Farris explains what it might look like.

ObamaCare GONE with the stroke of a pen.

Congress - replaced with term limits and a  "Citizen Congress".

Dept of Education and EPA and 6 other Federal Cabinets - eliminated

Marriage - one man one woman

Fix Church and State in the First Amendment - with four sentences

35% Corporate Tax & 39.6% Individual Max  ==> 15% Flat Max (and given permanency as part of the constitution)

$2,000,000,000,000 corporate overseas profits - RETURNED (to U.S.) -  10% Repatriation Tax

Article 5 of the Constitution says - -
-
"The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or,
-
on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments,
-
which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress..."
-
So:
-
Reasonable chance to succeed #1:
-
"The State Legislatures":
-
a)  Control the National Constitutional "Convention of States" under Option 2 above and
-
b)  Can rewrite the "ultimate law of the land" (The Constitution) however they see fit and
-
c)  Have the conservative votes now (after major swings in the 2010 and 2012 elections (660 liberal state legislators were replaced in 2010 alone)) to do it
-
d)  Can advance themselves and hundreds of those who aspire to Congress every few years with Article 3, "Term Limits for Congress" and
-
e) Can vote themselves $1 Trillion to $2 Trillion of investment inflows to split by bringing Corporate America back home from overseas with Article 1, "Repatriation of Corporate America"/"Free Enterprise Towns" and "Free Enterprise Zones"

and because  (and this is hard to believe)
-
It doesn't take 2/3S of the state legislators of the country to propose the amendment NOR 3/4s of the state legislators to ratify --
-
IT ONLY TAKES 33.5% of the nation's state legislators to propose and
37.5 % of the nation's state legislators to ratify!!!
-
Here's the math:

-

2/3s of the states to propose = 67% of the states times 1/2 of the legislators plus one (simple majority*) in each of those 34 states =

-

67%*1/2 = 33.5% percent of the legislators in the country for proposal.

-

3/4s of the states to ratify = 75% of the states times 1/2 of the legislators (plus one)(simple majority*) in each of those 38 states =

-

75%*1/2 = 37.5% of the nation's state legislators for ratification.

-

*(simple majority - in a few states it takes more than a simple majority)

-

-
Amazingly it only takes persuading a handful of good people to make a handful of good changes to the Constitution!
-
(see how Option 2 of Article 5 effectively eliminates the 12 most liberal states from the process)

"The Poor"
-
Reasonable Chance to Succeed #2
-
"The Poor" (and needy and unemployed and disadvantaged) are being wooed away from the Democratic Party with a partnering of "Rich and Poor" in a massive "Game Worth Playing" in the form of the "Success Superhighway" and its "Great American Challenge"/"50 Million Lottery" and "The Education Superhighway" which all have extensive incentives and opportunities.  "The Poor" may vote in the millions for Article 1 in order to be part of these new paradigms as they develop and unfold and as they are rolled out by "Project-28" and beyond.
-
-
"The Nation's Doctors, Nurses, Hospitals, Businesses, Health Insurance Industry, and Virtually all Americans who have Health Insurance, (or think they may get sick one day) . . .
-
Reasonable Chance to Succeed #3
-
America's "Once Best in the World" healthcare system is being destroyed and those above and most of America know it is being destroyed and they may all  come together for Article 2, "Repeal Obamacare".  The Senate leader that passed Obamacare, Max Baucus, had it right two years ago when he stated it is "a coming train wreck".  (Senator Baucus decided not to run for re-election).    Article 2 (Repeal Obamacare) completely derails Obamacare just before it completely derails America.    For more on just how chaotic this is spiraling out of control   Click Here ==> IRS workers are wanting out of Obamacare "It is insulting to the American people that the IRS is desperately trying to avoid complying with the very law they will be enforcing on American taxpayers,"
-

"The Churches and Synagogues"
-
Reasonable Chance to Succeed #4
-
America's Judeo/Christian history and foundations and traditions are something that the majority of the country still view as pillars of the nation's heritage and sacred supports of the nation's founding.  The majority of this "majority"  may be inspired to join in to fight for and to defend and preserve that heritage as it has existed for two and a half centuries.  The stakes and the principles in this fight, are about insuring that the original intentions for church and state continue in the same manner as originally intended and practiced and observed by the Founders and the Founding Congresses (1774-1804).   Article 5, "Church and State", arms millions of church and synagogue goers with the weapon they have been looking for that lets this large section of society rally together and add two sentences to the first amendment as part of the new law of the land.
-
-
-
"87% of all Americans"
-
Reasonable Chance to Succeed #5
-

87% of all Americans rate Congress below "Cockroach".  The chance to issue a sweeping "House Cleaning" (and "Senate Cleaning") should rally virtually the whole nation to pass Article 3, "Term Limits for Congress" and end the stranglehold on the nation of big money, and big unions, and big business and big government and rampant corruption and install the "Citizen Congress" envisioned by the Founders.
-
-
5000 Years of Marriage
-
Reasonable Chance to Succeed #6
-
America still leans 60% conservative and there is 5000 years of history arguing for the institution of traditional marriage.   Tens of millions may support Article 4, "Marriage is Defined as between One Man and One Woman",'
-

Special Prosecutors
-
Reasonable Chance to Succeed #7
-
Article 1 Section 8 assigns and funds "Special Prosecutors" for each of the following:  the "Benghazi Coverup", "The IRS Scandal" and the "Fast and Furious Scandal" and up to 60% of Americans may support the amendment due to these three major scandals in Washington.
-
-
The E-Myth Principle*
-
Reasonable Chance to Succeed #8
-
"The E-Myth Principle" is being employed to standardize and make the plug-in structure of "The 28th Amendment Project" (and especially its "Success Superhighway" and its embedded "Education Superhighway") a finely tuned repeatable "system".    The "system" and its repeatability is at the heart for some success expectations for the amendment.  Consider that 80% of businesses fail in the first five years while only 5% of "franchises" fail.  The answer is "the repeatable system" that franchisees can plug into.   "The 28th Amendment Project" is working toward refining the simple "plug-in" system that is standard for everyone joining in to support the amendment.
-
"The standardization includes the fine-tuning of a standard series of 10 Emails and 10 Newsletters that are available to forward all of the 7 articles of the amendment and their objectives and back-stories.  Standardization includes 1) the repeatable guidelines that assist "the Successful" in partnering and helping "the Poor", 2) the standardization of the "Project-28" tests for citizenship and history and civics and current events, 3) the standardization of the workshops and "proctoring" for those learning centers and testing environments, 4) the standardization for the organizations that provide facilities for wifi and computer access to those who need the most help, and 5) the standardization for communications and establishing how all of the participants come together, and 6) the standardization for the common functioning of archiving and records and reports.  And all of these are standardized by being focused on the common denominator throughout the land, i.e - the "State Meetup.com group".
-
-
-
And additionally -
-
Option 2 effectively "neuters"  the big states" and liberal states - A very big reason the current amendment has a reasonable chance to succeed!
-
Because the Founders set up Option 2 of Article 5 for amending the Constitution to, in effect, negate the "Great Connecticut Compromise" of Congress, the current amendment effort has a huge advantage for passing conservative amendments because the large, liberal states have large chunks of their populations silenced from voting.   The "Connecticut Compromise" was proposed by Roger Sherman from Connecticut to solve the great divide in Congress between the "Large States" and the "Small States".  This compromise created the "Bi-Cameral Congress" which created the "House of Representatives" for the large states and "The Senate" for the small states.
-
However, the major advantages the Californias and New Yorks have that normally wield so much influence in Congress and Presidential Elections -- those are erased in the "Option 2" amendment process so New York is just one of 50 states and California is just one of 50 states no different than a Rhode Island that also is just one vote in calculating 34 and 38 for proposal and ratification respectively.  This lets the strategy of passing "The 28th Amendment" basically put the liberal states and especially the large liberal states in a category called the "irrelevant dozen for ratification" and ignore putting resources to woo them.
-
(Under Option 1 of Article 5 for making amendments,  the large states still wield their large influence in the proposal process).
-
This explains why, of the 17 Amendments since the first 10 (Bill of Rights in 1791), the five that have been tried by calling a convention under Option 2 were quickly commandeered by Congress using Option 1 above so they could control the wording and the debate and outcomes.  The size and scope of "The 28th Amendment" with its Articles 1-7 precludes Congress effectively coming together to preempt the national grassroots effort and the required national convention.
